A four stringed instrument played with a bow, its bright, dynamic tone and the infinite variety possible on its fretless fingerboard makes it suitable for almost any kind of music.
Veena
The “Veena”, a complete instrument which is one of the most ancient south Indian instruments, earlier called as “Yazh”. The instrument has gone through several changes and the origin can be traced back to the age of Raghunath Nayak, 17th Century from Tanjavur.
The Instrument provides a melodic and rhythmic feature making the India raga more expressive and popular. Its main attraction is the ‘Nadham’ or the ‘tone’ which creates a positive energy.
LEVEL 1 :
Introductory Course
The Introductory course is aimed at building a strong foundation in learning the technical aspects of the Instrument. The fingering exercises are given more importance at the beginning later focusing on the basic lessons rendered in 3 to 4 speeds. The course also covers the concept of Sthayis– Octaves, in the Veena Instrument.
Introductory Course
The Intermediate Course focuses on the doubling and tripling concepts (Janta Varisas). The student is trained on the specific fingering exercises on playing the twin notes. Other combination swarams or zigzag patterns like Vakra Jantai, Dhattu Varisais are also taught in this course. The first song called “Sthrothrageetham” is taught, which is popularly called as Muthuswamy Dheekshitar’s Nottuswarams (Only Notes)

ADVANCED COURSES (LEVEL 2 – 5)
The Advanced courses are trained on the concept of Repertoires which are elaborated on the Student’s skill as a performer. The course focuses on the aspect of Layam – A balance between rhythm and tempo, which helps the student to easily equip while performing at the concerts with percussions. The course also goes into detail the characteristics of different ragas (Sampoorna & Janya), how 3 to 4 notes are played in one note the “Gamaka” format to produce the beauty of a particular Raga. The student is also taught different music compositions other than varnams and Keerthanas.
Special - One to One Course
One to One courses are designed to specifically identify the weakness and strengths of the student and contributing more time to reach the level of perfection. Personal sessions are conducted with Individual attention and support to complete the academic course even before the said duration unlike group sessions. The course content here applies only to the Syllabus.

Classical Music
Indian classical music is believed to be a divine art form which originated from the Gods and is venerated as a symbolic of Nadha-brahman. Carnatic music rests on two main elements: raga, the modes or melodic formulae, and tala, the rhythmic cycles. The key elements are Sruti, Swara, Raga, Tala and all improvised towards "Manodharma Sangeetam" or Kalpana Sangeetam" ("music of imagination").

LEVEL 1 :
Carnatic music, traditionally called “Karnataka Samgitam”, is an Indian treasure consisting of thousands of composers, ragas(tunes)and tala structures. Venkata Makhi an Indian poet and the musicologist of Carnatic music has formulated a structured pattern of studying the technical contents through the concept of “Melakartha system” i.e, classifying the main ragas. Geethams, varnams and keerthanas are some of the core products of these diverse ragas.
Introductory Course
The Introductory or the Preparatory Course in Carnatic Vocal first covers the basic aspects of pitching (matching the students’ voice to a particular scale of tune). The students are then taught to identify the position of the notes, merging their voice to the same and then starting their basic lessons from the syllabus. In this course the student also progresses the learning towards Middle Octaves(Madhasthyai), High Octaves(TaraSthyai). These combinations of basic lessons help the students develop the building blocks for concert based performances.
Intermediate Course
The Intermediate Course in Carnatic Vocal is aimed at understanding the different patterns of each musical note, understanding the rhythm, melody and perform at accuracy. The student is trained to sing the lessons with strong strikes on notes bringing majesty and force in their voice. The 7 thala sequences like “Alankarams” are specially trained to make student study the combination of notes thus bringing in range in pitch and grip on tempo.

The Advanced courses in Carnatic music mainly focuses on the centre pieces Geethams, Varnams and Keerthanas. Varnams are taught in depth since the detailing of swarams and anuswarms begin at this point. The student gains further understanding on the range of different ragas and the different oscillations contained in every musical note .The concept of Brigas and Gamakas are introduced first and depending on the student ability to sing, more technicalities on these aspects are taught. Theory with regard to raga scales, lakshanas, technical terms used in Carnatic vocal and biographies of the great legends are also included in the curriculum of study.
